Men of Style: Johnny Depp

I think that anyone that owns a TV has had to hear at least once in their life of the handsome devil called Johnny Depp. For those that have lived under a rock all these years and have just discovered the miracle of the T.V. or the internet just click here maybe that will clear out some things for you.

I truly hope that no one will actually click on the link because Johnny Depp is a Modern Man Icon. I don’t even know for sure what that means but it sounded so cool that I had to say it. MMI for short. Sounds good actually.

Johnny has played dozens of roles, from being a freakishly scared pale-boy-with-scissor-fingers to playing mafia rolls, such as John Dillinger in Public Enemies, or playing as a cop in the 90’s Donnie Brasco or the beloved funny pirate Jack Sparrow, I mean Captain Jack Sparrow.

In every movie that he partook he played his character with such talent and passion that he amazed not only the audience but also the writers and directors of the movies. He took his characters in such directions that not even the director or even the screen writers could not believe it. I do not believe that any other actor, for example, could play Jack Sparrow as he did.

Or any of the other Tim Burton movies in which he had a lot of time freakish rolls, such as being “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”, or the funny yet weird role as Willy Wonka, don’t get me started with Edward Scissorhands.

Johnny is a full package. He can play any type of role that you can think of. That is why I have a tremendous amount of respect for the man.

But my respect does not stop at the movies in which he plays in. Me being a fashion man I of course observed his style in his movies and in his personal life and, oh boy, does this guy have style. Not only he has a great sense of style, but he, as a person, is so complex: he looks arrogant, but at the same time he is for sure a good and modest guy inside, he is incredibly handsome and he is humble about this.

He is so incredibly famous that he could have whatever Hollywood mansion that he wants, yet he chose to live in France along his ex wife for a great number of years. He doesn’t hog the spotlight like all the other attention whores (sorry for the language, it’s a saying). Not convinced? You will see what I am talking about in a bit.
