If I were to ask you right now what are your top 10 goals for the next month would you be able to write them down in the next two minutes? You see, without specific goals, you risk on wandering through life without ever getting what you want because you are not focused on anything.

Starting this month (September 2015) I will publish a monthly article about my goals for the next month in an attempt to keep myself more accountable and, hopefully, to inspire you to set up goals and even dream bigger.

How will it work?

At the end of each month, I will share my top 10 goals for the next month, but I will also have an introductory section where I will let you know what I was able to accomplish and what did not work as well from the previous month.


1. Attend Milan Fashion Week

After attending New York Fashion Week last September and Pitti Uomo this January, it was just common sense that Milan would be next on the list. About two weeks ago we got an invitation to participate at Di Librio’s fashion event on September 23rd and it’s that kind of offer that you just cannot say no to.

After I finish this article, I will begin to research what is there to be seen in Milan. After reading “How to Think Like Leonardo Da Vinci” by Michael Gelb (see my list of recommended books for entrepreneurs) I became one of Leonardo’s biggest fans and I’d love to see his second famous work of art, “The Last Supper”, which is exposed in Milan. But, from what I’ve been reading online, it’s easier to get a front row ticket at the Prada show than to see the painting.


2. Host my first webinar

Oh, this is big! One of my goals for 2015 is to host a seminar either on online business or on personal development & success, and I’ve been postponing it for too long now. Even though it will be online and not meeting everyone in person, it’s a big step in the right direction and I am very excited to see it happen, and who knows, I might even host one locally by the end of the year.

What’s the topic of the webinar? Glad you asked. Recently, I’ve partnered up with a community of health coaches to be their point of contact for anything business and marketing related questions and hosting a monthly webinar is part of the deal as well. This first training will be an introduction to the online world: how to promote your brand, ways to generate revenue and a few blocks that might stop you from taking action.

3. Sign up another coaching client

If you are asking yourself what’s the point of sharing my information with the health coaches group for free, I’ve got an answer for you. First of all, this helps me organize all the information that I’ve collected over the past five years and structure it in ways I can remember it easily. Secondly, I get to practice and fail in order to get better for when I’ll have even bigger audiences and I also get more confident by doing this. And thirdly, I am offering a coaching program for three and six months for those that want to get results faster.

The goal of the program is to help coaches get started, launch their business and put them on the right track for success.


4. Get published on two big websites/blogs

Part of my 75,000-word count challenge (I’ll write another article about it soon), I am writing articles that get published on Male Extravaganza but I also pitch big publications and blogs about my articles. It’s called content marketing (I’ll talk about it in my webinar) and it’s my favorite kind of marketing because you get to deliver value to people and you build trust, which eventually will bring in sales.

I’ve already pitched Jonathan from PaidtoExist.com and I am waiting for a reply and I have another cool article that I will send to someone at Huffington Post about the most valuable life lessons that I’ve learned from animated movies. Besides these two that, fingers crossed, hope will be published, I plan on writing two new articles and send one to PicktheBrain.com because I had great results with my first article published there.


5. Get 350 new email subscribers

You might not know, as this is the first time I make this public on the blog, that I own three blogs together with Roswitha, Estilo Tendances (fashion & lifestyle for women), WellFitsYou (health coaching, nutrition and success) and, of course, Male Extravaganza.

This goal is for all these blogs and I know it’s not much, but I’d rather grow slowly than not grow at all. There’s one lesson that I’ve learned lately and it’s about having big fat goals, but you shouldn’t focus on them, you should focus on your next step. Most of the times you can’t believe those big goals/dreams and if you focus on them you will get frustrated. If, however, you focus on small, manageable goals and tasks, you can build momentum because of all the confidence that you get.

In order to reach this goal, I will create a free ebook for this blog and I’ll also experiment with some new plugins and A/B tests on offers for my other blogs.


6. Create three videos

I’ve been running away from this for far too long now and it’s time for a comfort zone stretch by finally creating those videos and putting myself out there for good. Probably the biggest mistake that I’ve made in business was hiding behind my business being scared of what other’s will think of me. Well, it’s time to move on and do what I believe it’s good for me and my business.

I’ve been playing around with videos and Periscope over the past two weeks and it’s starting to not feel as weird as it used to. The videos will be around 5-7 minutes long and they won’t be perfect! 🙂


7. Finish content for my free ebook

Are you living your dreams? Are you doing work that you’re truly passionate about? If no, I have the right ebook for you and it will be free because I really want to help you out. You will, however, have some work to do because your biggest passion will not fall out of the sky and you might even have to try a few “passions” until you find the right one for you.

I have about 50% already written, but there’s still a lot of research to be done and I don’t even want to think about the design, landing pages, autoresponders etc.


8. Write 4 articles on Male Extravaganza

One article per week should be enough given that I will write for other blogs as well. My goal is to create big a$$ articles, but I’ve decided to publish short ones (under 1,000 words) as well because they can deliver value as well. I don’t know the topics yet, but one of them will be about my journey to 75,000 words until December 31st, 2015.


9. Write and organize the second webinar

Part of my work with the HealthCoachesCommunity.com is to host a monthly webinar and offer them lots of resources to get started. I am excited to see how the first webinar will go, what I can learn and then start working on the second webinar sometime around September 15th. Thank God I love to do it and, depending on how well it will go, I might even create an online course for health coaches.


10. Two videos on Periscope

Periscope is the new cool thing in terms of social networks and I plan on broadcasting two times in the month of September. How does it work? You broadcast live whatever you want, but hopefully something interesting. The cool thing is that the videos are only available for the next 24 hours, but if you’re truly unsatisfied with your broadcast you can delete it right away. I might not have a lot of followers, but I get to practice my “talking-in-front-of-a-camera” skills, which is perfect for me.

Having big goals is great, but having goals that you believe you can achieve is smart! Aim for the moon, but focus on your next step, this is the key to big accomplishments.

I challenge you to take 10 minutes out of your busy day and write down at least 5 goals that you believe you can accomplish, but that also give you a little stretch. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d say choose a goal that your belief is 8 you can do it.
